Anton Forde receives the Pommery Champagne Artist Award

Anton Forde receives theesteemed Pommery Champagne Artist Award.

Selected personally by Monsieur and Madame Vranken of Vranken-Pommery Monopole, the award recognises artistic integrity, technical mastery, and conceptual depth.

Forde’s award-winning work, Tūhono | Stand in Connection, was presented at Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney. The sculpture reflects on humanity’s enduring relationship with the natural world - our capacity to connect, disconnect, and reconnect. Conceived as a symbolic threshold, it draws on systems of duality, water, and light, while employing traditional wedge-and-feather stone-splitting techniques to establish a striking contemporary presence within the coastal landscape.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, Champagne Pommery’s partnership with Sculpture by the Sea reaffirms an ongoing commitment to contemporary practice through the Artist Award.

We warmly congratulate Anton on this significant and well-deserved recognition.
