Monica Rani Rudhar, has been announced as part of Rememory for the the 25th Biennale of Sydney — presented at Lewers: Penrith Regional Gallery.

Alongside respected Yindjibarndi Elder Wendy Hubert, Monica presents a vibrant and poetic new multi-channel video installation that explores the colonial legacies of trauma and resistance embodied in family stories, heirlooms, and bloodlines.

The Biennale of Sydney stands as one of Australia’s foremost contemporary art events, committed to elevating First Nations perspectives alongside the many diasporic communities that define the nation. Rememory calls on audiences to consider the ways in which memory, landscape, and lived histories shape our sense of identity and belonging.
