Gavin Chai “makes history with three Awards”

Congratulations to Gavin Chai who won all three categories at the Otago Art Awards over the weekend!  Gavin’s haunting realist work ‘Howick’ won the New Youth Award, the Excellence Award, as well as the show’s overall Supreme Award!  The awards have been running for over 140 years – society president Doug Hart noted it was “a special moment” and”unprecedented” for all three award categories to be won by the same artist!
